User Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
Value Name: Hidden
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (1 = Working Show All Files)
OR
If anyone’s still having trouble, here’s a fix that worked for me after I got the RavMon virus:
User Key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
Value Name: CheckedValue & DefaultValue
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (1 (hexadecimal) = Working Show All Files)
And Also Need to Change \NOHIDDEN\ DefaultValue & CheckValue = 0
The “Show hidden files & folders” check box should now work normally. Enjoy!
