Exchange Database Repair & Defragment

- Unmount Exchange Mailbox Database
- In Command prompt, go to Exchange Bin folder (Default path ->C:\Program
Files\MSExchange\Bin\)
- Type Eseutil /p DATABASE_FILE (for database file scanning/repairing)
- Type Eseutil /p /d DATABASE_FILE /t C:\temp\temp.edb (for Defragment)

Disable / Enable Task Manager

There is a registry hack to enable or disable Windows NT TaskManager. The same registry hack applies to Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

And Also Need to Change \NOHIDDEN\ DefaultValue & CheckValue = 0
The “Show hidden files & folders” check box should now work normally. Enjoy!

Enable Search in Windows XP

Open regedit and Find " NoFind" change Value=0

You can completely disable the Windows XP search functionality for a single user.
If you just want to do it for the current user, use the following steps:

1. Select the Run option from the Start menu.
2. Type "cmd" and hit Enter.
3. Type "reg Export HKU backup.reg" and hit Enter.
4. Type "reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer /v
NoFind /t REG_DWORD /d 1" and hit Enter.
5. Logoff and log back on.

You will notice that you cannot find any options to search anywhere within Windows, after you
follow these steps.
However, this is only good for the current user. If you want to do this for every user, then you
will need to follow these steps for each user listed under the HKEY_USERS hive (include
.DEFAULT).
You can find these users by typing "reg Query HKU" and hitting Enter. You can ignore any of
the entries that end in "_Classes", but for each of the others, replace "HKCU" in step 4 with
"HKU\.DEFAULT" (replace .DEFAULT with the user, as needed)

Disable Validation on Windows Media Player 11

The other method of install and setup WMP11 bypassing and disable the genuine Windows
validation of WGA is to install components of WMPlayer part by part.
1. Download WMP11.
2. Extract (unrar or unzip) wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe by using extraction tool such as
WinRAR.
3. Go to the extracted folder, and execute (run) wmfdist11.exe.
4. Restart the computer.
5. Execute wmp11.exe ( in extracted folder ).
6. Restart the computer.
7. Start using Windows Media Player 11.
